Does Your Child Avoid
Christmas Crafts?
You are not alone! Kids with poor fine motor skills often feel frustrated or inadequate when faced with craft activities.
It takes so much more effort when those hand and finger muscles struggle to control pencils and scissors. And then the kids feel their end products don’t look as neat or cute as the others.
So how can you help your child feel to enjoy the process and feel more satisfied with their craft result?
I have two pages on my site that may give you some inspiration, using resources you may already have in your cupboard somewhere!
Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas, the techniques and suggestions on these two pages can be applied to any holiday crafts, across all seasons!
Fine Motor Christmas Activities is a page about fine motor techniques you can use during craft time. So take a look and see ow you can use resources you may already have, to help build your
child’s fine motor skills. Be inspired to set up some crafts using those techniques and resources!
